Special Event, February 19: Career Talk on International and Human Rights Careers

The Global Affairs in Dialogue Committee is delighted to invite you to a very special event!

On Friday, February 19th, 6 pm (s.t.) we will host a webinar with former alumnae and alumni. Besides Marilena Stegbauer, whom you might remember from our last talk in the series "Europe as a Normative Power", we are thrilled to announce the presence of Elisa Miedbach, Lara Ellenberg, Magdalena Burtscher, and Paul Weber. All are former LAS governance students who pursued international careers after graduating from UCF.

Marilena works as an independent human rights consultant, Elisa is a journalist, Lara is doing a Masters degree at Georgetown University Law Center and has done plenty of internships and jobs in the US, Magdalena works as a junior policy consultant for the OECD, and Paul is doing his Masters in Law and Politics of International Security at VU Amsterdam, after having worked for several NGOs.

Each of them will give us an insight into their individual career path and personal experience, how they made career decisions, and what advice they would give to current LAS students. Afterwards, you will be able to ask questions and receive the valuable first-hand information you might be looking for on how you could proceed after graduation.

We aim at creating a platform for exchange between current and former LAS students in order to allow for sharing stories and giving advice - in particular for those of you who are interested in international careers.

You can sign up for the event here.

We look forward to seeing many of you there!
